AT&T (Formerly DIRECTV) 21 Volt Power Inserter for All DIRECTV SWM LNBs (PI21)
Product Overview
The DIRECTV 21-volt Power Inserter for SWM Integrated LNB is used to back feed power to the preamplifier/distribution amplifier through one of the RF output ports. This allows the preamplifier/distribution amplifier to be mounted at a location where power is not available. It can be used for the SWM-8. The SWM switch requires more power than the receivers provide for traditional LNBs switches. The PI 21 power inserter simply plugs into a standard indoor electrical outlet and feeds power to the switch or LNB. It has two coax ports, one that hooks to the receiver and one that goes to the switch/LNB. The DirecTV power inserter can be placed after the splitter, as long as the splitter is designed to pass power to only one port, and the receiver with the power inserter is connected to this port. Constant 21V power is provided to a DTV SWM LNB. The DirecTV 21-volt Power Inserter for SWM Integrated LNB is not designed to power an external multi-switch.
